The country's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in the past few days

Russian forces has escalated strikes on energy facilities over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "real steps" from international partners to apply pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not window dressing but decisive action - from the America, Europe and the Group of Seven - in providing protection systems and implementing sanctions," was stated in a social media post.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty rockets targeted energy facilities, describing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were laboring to restore power.
