Los Angeles experienced citywide festivities after the Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Supporters across the globe joined Angelenos in jubilation, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a team has secured consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Attracts Enormous Turnout
Local celebrations featured a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Social media videos depict thousands of Los Angeles residents packing downtown streets, many carrying handmade banners and team flags. The squad was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy proudly.
“I’m already thinking about the third time we’re going to do this,” Shohei Ohtani remarked through an interpreter.
The parade route ended at Dodger Stadium, where the team walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ providing music and Ice Cube cruising a light blue vintage Cadillac around the field.

Festivities started prior to the procession, with Dodgers fans setting off fireworks in the roads of the city center on the previous evening.
The World Series MVP, awarded the World Series’ Most Valuable Player, spoke directly about the win.
“We refuse to lose,” Yamamoto said. “I love the Dodgers. This city means everything to me.”
Varied Responses and City Unity
In contrast, Mark Walter was met with a cooler reception at the rally. Video footage from the gathering seem to depict him walking onstage to a mix of cheers and boos, with jeers interrupting his address.
The World Series acted as a positive moment in what has been a challenging year for the city. An approximate 225,000 people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, supporters this year demonstrated as much if not more support.
“It seems it’s almost double from last year,” he said. “These fans are crazy. It’s so awesome to be a part of this.”
