Iran is willing to resume nuclear discussions with the United States provided that it is treated with "respect" and "honor", Iran's foreign minister has announced.

The Iranian diplomat stated exclusively dialogue was effective, and shared recent overtures had originated from mediators to restart talks with the Trump administration. He claimed Iran did not have undeclared nuclear sites, and Iran had not yet reached a point to allow the global atomic watchdog to access bombed nuclear sites for safety concerns.

Navigating a Challenging Route

The foreign minister is navigating a difficult course since Iran wishes not to appear to be operating from a stance of disadvantage, and he consistently maintained that Iran had emerged more resilient defensively and emotionally from the coordinated strike on its atomic facilities in June.

He was talking at a security conference in Tehran where he reaffirmed that Iran had "a fundamental entitlement to refine atomic fuel domestically that it will always maintain" – the primary cause of the deadlock in the prior discussions.

Prior Discussions Unexpectedly Ended

The previous five rounds of talks between the US and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and hostile conclusion on 12 June when the Israeli government, with American backing, struck Tehran's atomic facilities in a 12-day war that concluded with Donald Trump declaring the sites had been eliminated.
